PageRank

· PageRank 技術：PageRank 會透過解析超過 5 億筆變數和 20 億個字詞，來執行對網頁重要性的客觀測量。PageRank 不會計算網頁間的直接連結，而是將網頁 A 連至網頁 B 的連結，解譯為網頁 B 得到網頁 A 的一張選票。接著 PageRank 會由網頁收到的選票數量來評估其重要性。

PageRank 也會考量每個投出選票的網頁之重要性，也就是說某些網頁的選票被認定為有較高的價值，會因此給予該連結網頁較大的價值。 重要的網頁會收到較高的 PageRank，並出現在搜尋結果的頂端。 Google 的技術是使用網頁的集合情報來判定網頁的重要性。 因為沒有人為因素的介入或操控結果，所以使用者相信 Google 是一個不會接受以付費爭取排名的客觀資訊來源。
